Canter Surveying/GPS Services is a sole proprietorship surveying firm that specializes in GPS applications. Founded in 1989, we initially provided land surveying services to southeastern Ohio. Three years later, the company expanded its capabilities by being the first firm in the state of Ohio to purchase Leica, Inc.'s GPS System 200. This technology enabled us to offer horizontal and vertical control GPS services throughout the region.
Canter Surveying/GPS Services now offers airborne GPS, G.I.S. data acquisition services, GPS consulting and training, and hydrographic surveys. Our wide base of experience in the GPS field includes horizontal and vertical control networks, staking of corridor study areas, core boring locations and photo control. We also have extensive experience with topographic mapping, geodetic leveling and geodetic network control.
Our resources for providing quality data to our clients include eight Leica geodetic GPS systems with RTK, three total stations with data collector systems, and a Leica NA3003 geodetic leveling system. CADD capabilities are centered on our expertise in AutoCAD Land Development 2000 and MicroStation J/Geopak.
